Michell Humidity Calculator: New and Improved!

Humidity Calculator

A brand new humidity calculator based on British Standard BS1339-1 is now available from Michell Instruments’ for online use.

Included is a separate natural gas moisture calculator that allows calculation of water dew-points in natural gas from ppmV and absolute humidity (mg/m3, g/3, kg/m3, lb/MMscf) and vice versa. These calculations are based on methods found in ISO 18453 and IGT Bulletin #8.

The online version of the calculator supports all major browsers (IE9+) and also works with Android, iOS and most other mobile devices. The downloadable version requires at least Windows Vista and IE9+.

  • Absolute humidity
  • Parts per million (volume)
  • Parts per million (weight)
  • Mixing ratio

The application software is an interface to the Optidew or Optidew Vision that provides a display of the measured and calculated parameters, system status, charting and logging, statistical information and a facility to view and change the system parameters.

S8000 Application Software - 32/64bit
The application software is capable of emulating the instrument's control, set-up and logging functions. It has an expanded parameter display and simultaneously displays all of the measured and calculated parameters. A customisable graph is also provided for displaying any combination of the measured or calculated parameters against a time base. The main toolbar groups together the principal operational commands, allowing the user to control DCC, MAXCOOL and STANDBY functions. Data logging is also activated from the main toolbar, allowing logs files to be created and saved directly on the host PC.

S904D Application Software
The S904D software allows the user to control the humidity and temperature set-points of the chamber and create automated calibration profiles for unattended operation. Connected probes and reference data can be charted and logged to a file.

Universal Application Software
The new Universal Application Software provides monitoring, configuration and logging functions. Measured instrument parameters are displayed in real-time above a customisable graph, capable of displaying any combination of parameters. The data logging feature enables logs files to be created and saved directly on the host PC. The software can also act as a Modbus TCP master server for the connected instrument, enabling forwarding of instrument data over a network and integration with other software.
